It’s called the ROCK and Worship Roadshow right?  Well let me introduce you folks to our friends Disciple.  These guys are the full on ROCK portion of the evening.  And let me say this.  They don’t hold anything back.  If you’ve had the chance to see these guys live, you’ve experienced it.  If you haven’t you need to see these guys give it their all.

We’ve had an absolute blast having these guys on this tour.  They are the most genuine guys we can imagine and it’s an honor to be on the road with them.

Tonight over 13,000 showed up in Portland, OR to spend the evening with us.  There were a ton of you out there.  Absolutely insane.  Thanks Portland for confirming why this is one of our favorite tour spots in the country.  We’ll see you again real soon.

What a night to close out the tour. Memphis you guys were nuts. Thanks so much for making the trip and closing out The 2011 Fall Rock & Worship Roadshow. It’s been a crazy couple weeks and we’ve had a blast.

Oklahoma, you people were awesome tonight. We had a blast hanging out with you tonight. This is one of our favorite places to come and you’re the reason. We’re thrilled to have Group1Crew back out with us for this last weekend.

Wichita, Kansas City & Memphis, we’re coming your way. Looking forward to finishing out this thing in a big way.

Knoxville, Tennessee, you guys know how to sing. Thanks for sharing your voices with us. We’ve got a couple favorite moments of the night for sure. “Don’t Stop Believing” with Hawk Nelson, Matt Maher chanting “Our God is not dead, He’s alive, he’s alive…”, Disciple’s backflip, and the “Ohhh-Uh-Ohh’s” of MercyMe’s “All Of Creation”. All what makes The Roadshow what it is. Special moments that we’ll take home with us.

So here’s my question. What’s your favorite moment of the night? There’s plenty of great things going on but we’d love to hear it. Let us know. And thanks again for coming out tonight.

Charlotte, you did it. You were easily the loudest most amped up crowd we have had so far this tour. You people were nuts. I was walking around during MercyMe’s set and that conga line was the longest we’ve ever seen. Thanks for the energy and volume you brought tonight. We had an absolute blast.

This is Disciple’s first week out with us and they are KILLING it.  Such an amazing show to watch.  Charlotte, we will be back without a doubt.  Thanks again.

Saginaw, you were a great first night of the tour. We had a few bugs pop up tonight, but you guys were very gracious and an amazing crowd. This is easily going to be one of the most fun tours we’ve had based on the group that’s out here. Today was a blast and we’re only one day in.

Here’s a quick recap of our run in California. We had a fantastic time out there and can’t wait to get back. That stretch of shows is something we look forward to every year.

Technically we’ve got one more show in Dallas (April 9th), but we took this opportunity to do some fun ‘end of the tour’ pranks. This year has been an amazing group of people and so many new friends were made.

Dallas you are in for a treat in April. Make sure to get your ‘Roadie’ shirts and get there early. The place fills up quick.

Fresno, you did it. There was a reason we decided that this would be the last show of the tour and you guys delivered. What an amazing night and a fantastic finish to the tour. I think across the board this was one of the top tours of our careers.

Thanks to everyone who came out to any of the shows and decided to support this ministry. We are continually blown away by you all.

Let’s see if this is anything like riding a bike.  I’m the guy that wrote for The Roadshow Blog the last two years.  However, this year I stayed home so tonight was my first night watching The Roadshow 2011.  I’m hesitant to say this since I have so many great memories from the past two years, but tonight was by far my favorite Roadshow.

MercyMe killed their set as usual, but threw in some new arrangements (at least to me) that kept me on my toes.  Jars of Clay never ceases to amaze me.  I remember seeing them after their Self Titled album came out in the mid-90′s and loving it then.  Tonight’s show was much more energetic, but no less brilliant.

Lecrae and TFK were both acts that I was looking forward to watching as I have heard great things, neither disappointed.  Both play a style of music that is easily dismissed as not glorifying to Christ and often glorifying of thing such as sex and drugs, but it could not have been more clear that these musicians are singing to glorify Christ.  Matt Maher led the arena in a great time of worship playing Heart of Worship, a great song that I have not heard it was seems like years.  The Afters and Anthem Lights were both energetic and the perfect start to set the tone for the rest of the evening.

The Roadshow 2011 put together another lineup that I can’t imagine being topped next, though I am sure they will find a way.  See you all in Fresno!
