The Afters

As previously mentioned, Addison Road is no longer on the road with us.  Replacing them last week was Sidewalk Prophets, an up and coming group out of Nashville, TN. We have heard a lot from Roadshow-ers telling us how much they enjoyed their music and were blessed by their message, make sure to run over to their myspace blog and say hello.  They share thoughts on their Roadshow experience and posted a back stage interview with Bart about Wii Bowling.

This next week we are excited to welcome The Afters.  They will be joining us in Denver, CO and stick around for another show.  The band originally from Texas gained a following with their pop hit “Beautiful Love.” The Roadshow is excited to have The Afters out and are looking forward to the energy they will bring to The Roadshow.

On Saturday we will have To Be Announced.  I do not have any information about them at this time, but I will do my homework and get back to you guys as soon as I find out.

Tonight was a crazy night for The RoadshowTV.  We didn’t have great wireless capabilities but we were able to have some fun.  Aside from the normal streaming here are some things we gave you tonight.

  • Sidewalk Prophets joined us back stage for a video chat and an exciting cover of Billie Jean by Michael Jackson.
  • Charlie Millard gave us his version Eye Of The Tiger by Survivor
  • Bart Millard of MercyMe took us back stage during Jeremy Camp giving us an exclusive back stage look right before they take the stage.
  • During MercyMe’s set, we brought the camera on stage for a chance to see what Bart sees from the stage
  • Hawk Nelson met us after the show for their typical tomfoolery.

Don’t forget to check out The RoadshowTV next Thursday as The Roadshow takes the stage in Denver, CO.

As mentioned early, The Roadshow was a little bit different tonight.  We said good-bye to Addison Road and welcomed Sidewalk Prophets.  Jeremy Camp was at a previous engagement and was replaced by Flyleaf for the evening.

Sidewalk Prophets were a great addition to tonight’s show.  Closing their set with an a capella Amazing Grace, they are going to fit right in with The Roadshow.  Their set tonight helped create an atmosphere of worship and was a great segue into Tenth Avenue North.

To be honest, I was not sure what to expect from Flyleaf.  I knew they were going to be amazing, but I was not sure how they were going to fit in with The Roadshow.  Now that the show is over, I know they were a great fit.  They took the stage after Hawk Nelson and carried the energy through their entire set.  In keeping with The Roadshow tradition, they had a powerful message of the changing power of Christ and were not ashamed to profess Him from the stage.  We were privileged to have Flyleaf out tonight, and hope to see them again soon.

A Roadshow Welcome

Last night will end up being the last time for Addison Road to perform with The Roadshow.  After some consideration, the band decided it best to get off the road in their hometown and give Jenny and Ryan some rest before they have their baby girl.  Replacing them is the equally as talented and entertaining Sidewalk Prophets.

Sidewalk Prophets describe themselves as an unlikely group of poets, musicians, and fun-lovers who have been brought together by the blood of Jesus Christ to share the hope, faith, tragedy, and love that is the reality of Christianity.  They are a great group of guys and promise to put on a great time of rock and worship.

We are also losing Jeremy Camp for tonight show.  He will be back after tonight, so don’t worry faithful Campers.  Replacing Jeremy will be the group Flyleaf.  Flyleaf’s goal is to bring a positive message to a genre of music that is typically filled with emptiness and negativity.  A message that will feel right at home with The Roadshow.

Let’s give them both a Roadshow welcome and don’t forget to go over and tell Addison Road how much you enjoyed them on The Roadshow.
